Ok, Let's go get some    Wine . you are going to need it.

 Next you might need what I needed Flex , I use RPM Bone because I am not going 
to spend a day trying to learn how to build a package when I can 
just do a search. Well whatever. If you get a notice that you need to install anything, 
the bone will help you, just select the right distro and you are
 good to get.. another File I needed was BISON.. two seconds  three tries the rpm went well.
If you have any microsoft programs that you really need to try loke the junk that came
bundlds with your camara so you can get your photos out, or the software that allows you to 
get into your  ipod or what ever mp3 player.
It does not hurt to try and open these files using wine. Since the files are on an ntfs partition
you can not write to them !  but you can save the results on your nix partition.
 to open the files you just navigate to that directory and open the console and type (example)
wine notepad.exe .... that actually should run notepad with no issues or stress, sometimes though
when you get into larger programs like video games or media software or image editing and video editing
 you might want to refer to the rpm link I posted earlier. Flex and bison are needed for quite a bit.
See I would help with photoshop on linux, but really I use gimp. Even at work where they have 
photoshop installed on all the tech people's computers, I nstalled gim on mine and do not want or need 
photoshop. But I do use flash cs3 professional alot for websites I build for other people and well
I do find it usefull to be able to run it through wine while I am booted to the linux partition .
